Shaheen’s punchline suggests laws should apply to everyone, he says, with a wink and a nod. Initially, they were ready to follow in India’s footsteps regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Later, they realized that if they implemented the same pattern as Indians, the Taliban could be the first ones to be kicked out of Afghanistan.
Considering the road out if followed the same pattern of CAA in India, They chose to make changes in the act and creates ‘Indian-opposition-party-friendly’ schemes such as ‘Refuge for Critics of India’s CAA’ maintain the international divisive policies.
