Taliban has extended an unexpected offer to individuals in India unhappy with the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Suhail Shaheen, the head of the Taliban’s political office in Doha, Implements their own version of CAA and suggested that those facing problems with India’s CAA could find solace in Afghanistan under their own version of the law.

Shaheen’s punchline suggests laws should apply to everyone, he says, with a wink and a nod. Initially, they were ready to follow in India’s footsteps regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Later, they realized that if they implemented the same pattern as Indians, the Taliban could be the first ones to be kicked out of Afghanistan.
Considering the road out if followed the same pattern of CAA in India, They chose to make changes in the act and creates ‘Indian-opposition-party-friendly’ schemes such as ‘Refuge for Critics of India’s CAA’ maintain the international divisive policies.
